What I’m Loving Lately

I thought I’d share about some items I’m currently digging. I love reading these posts from other bloggers, so I thought I’d write one myself! Here is what I’ve been into.

I discovered these when I realized that I need to drink more water throughout the day. Sometimes I find myself feeling very dehydrated because I simply forget to drink enough water while working. I really like the taste of the Mio water enhancers, but I’m not very fond of the ingredient list. Propylene Glycol is one of the main ingredients which can also be found in deodorant. I don’t know about you, but that doesn’t sound very appetizing.

Anyway, I found the True Lemon brand at Kroger for around $1.39 for a box of 10 packets in the sports drinks aisle. I’ve tried the Raspberry Lemonade and plain Lemonade and LOVE them. Unfortunately, the Black Cherry Limeade one sort of tastes like cough syrup. The packets contain 100% natural ingredients and only have 1 gram of sugar per serving. Very refreshing and also portable!

I am a huge fan of 90’s music. It takes me back to riding in the car to school with our carpool group. We would listen to Star 94.1 and play car games like “Categories” and “I Spy” while we sat in traffic. I always play this station when I clean the house or put laundry away and sing along! Love the old school Backstreet Boys that pops up from time to time.

*Purex Crystals*

These make our laundry smell amazing! All you do is pour the recommended amount of scent crystals into the wash with your dirty clothes. Once clean and dried, my laundry smells so fresh and clean for days. Even when my husband sweats profusely at the gym or while working in the yard, I can still smell the freshness on his clothes from the crystals! The one in the photo, the Original Clean, is the best so far. I’ve tried the Lavender and it the scent isn’t very noticeable. I saw a Tropical Breeze one at Dollar General that I’d also like to try. The Purex brand is way cheaper than the Downy or Gain brand of scent crystals and smells just as good.

I have these all over the house and they smell amazing. All of the Glade scents are wonderful, but I think the Red Honeysuckle Nectar smells the best. It is fresh and not too strong. The best thing about these is that you can find them anywhere (all grocery stores, dollar stores, Target, Wal-Mart, etc.). I got the warmers for $1 at Dollar General and the refills are around $2-$3 a piece. I think that is a pretty good deal. Plus, they last for a long time. The Red Honeysuckle Nectar candles are great as well. I can’t wait for the holiday scents to come out!

*Larabars*

I have to be honest, when I first tried a Larabar, I gagged. I wasn’t used to the “natural” texture and taste. I decided to give them another try because I really like to have healthy on-the-go snacks. Larabars literally contain a handful of all-natural ingredients and have no added sugar. The base is usually a mix of dates and nuts, so it is a little weird at first, but it grew on me. My favorite flavors are the banana bread, chocolate chip cookie dough, blueberry muffin, cherry pie and peanut butter chocolate chip. The apple pie is pretty good, too. There are SO many flavors! You can find these at any grocery store in the natural foods section. Larabars can be a little pricey, but they do go on sale a lot. My Kroger had them on sale for $0.49 each this week, so I stocked up.

These two provide David and me with so much entertainment. They may look calm here, but they are nuts. I need to post a video of them acting psycho so you all can see it for yourselves!
